Immediate Past President, Steve was introduced to the Australian Stock Horse on a supporters’ tour of Australia, with the NZ Polocrosse team in 1983.
He bought shares in a heritage bred ASH going on to import his own stallion in 2009: J Star Walkabout.
His friend and mentor Joy Poole encouraged Steve to set up the NZ Branch of the Australian Stock Horse Society which occurred in 2015.
Steve has bred, trained and played the Australian Stock Horse for 30 years. Steve is also a Branch Horse Inspector.
