Karen and husband Keith have relocated to NZ from Australia after 23 years away. During that time both were heavily involved in breeding, training and showing Australian Stock Horses in Victoria.
Keith was the President of the Western Victoria Branch of ASHS for over 4 years, and the President of the Macarthur Campdraft Club for 6 years. Their stock horse stud – Willowby – bred some fine young horses taken to the National Yearling Sale in Tamworth for over 12 years.
Karen is a accredited ASHS Judge and Branch Facilitator; and has participated at both local and State level on Branch and State Committees. Karen has trained, shown and prepared her own Australian Stock Horses for the show ring and achieved success at State and local level.
Karen is also publicity and website editor for the Branch.
